Hehe. I'm here to make a little advertisement, at the same time fill up the empty spaces here. I recently picked up the interest on making earrings, if you haven't known. Set up a site today so feel free to go browse for some additions to your jewellery collection, gifts for your girlfriends, friends, sisters, cousins, mothers, grandmothers etc k? Or simply just go check out the blog I've painstakingly created for some therapy. Would love it if you could help me spread the word too! *blow kisses*
Becasue you all are my great gang, I'm willing to give an additional 10% discount. And if you are a reader of purplepeg, you are entitled another 20% if you have seen the requirements on my blog [for that you have to refer to my blog! discounts don't come so easy. haha!] That means to say that as a member of this gang, I am giving up to a total of 30%, 10 for being the gang + 20 if you can give me the requirement I stated on my blog.
Check it out at http://retail-the-rapist.blogspot.com/
I am still an amateur in this area. I would appreciate friendly feedbacks but don't be harsh on me lah. hahaha. Comments about my creativity on the name is welcomed too. Hahaha. Shit, damn bhb.
Ok, thats about it. Anyway, has anyone heard any news about Mak since he left? I hope he is still alive lah. I hope I didn't miss some news on the TV or papers when I was mugging. hahahaha. ok kidding lah. Really wondering how is he and stuff. So if he contacted anyone, do share k?
And when is our mahjong session huh? If I arrange it on a weekday who can? Haha. I only got up til 1st May before I start internship, if dont play then I don't know when liao. QUICK QUICK!
Love...

Hello Dead Town
I just had a short chat with Ms Sim and everytime we talk, after asking about me, she will ask me "How's Mak they all?" Well, I know the "they all" refers to you all.
I realised I couldn't really answer her question other than tell her that Mak is flying soon for 10 months. Then I continued by telling her that we have been so busy with our own lives that we hardly meet up now.
Sad, but true.
I wish the next time Ms Sim or anyone asks me the same question, I have so much to say that he/she will be listening to me for the next hour or two until she cannot stand me and ask me to stop. Haha.
So, how's everyone? A little update about myself, I have been real busy for these few weeks over project datelines, tests and upcoming exams. If you have read my blog, I stayed in school to from 1pm to 3am on a Sunday (the same Sunday HJ jioed for Marche). Thats how bad it can get. We've got so much things on hand and have no choice but to be last minute. And I haven't had time to come visit my Ah Ma that I decided to bring all my notes and whatever over to study so that I can sort of visit them at the same time. I haven't been spending quality time with Chan Howe as well so forgive me if I got no time to meet up with you guys.
Undergraduates live by weeks. Its week 12 of the school term. Week 15 is exam week and after that its holidays. Mak is not going to wait for me to finish exam but you all will still be around for me to catch up on, right?
To you guys out there, I'm getting abit emo now, I hope ALL of you are getting on fine with your life.
To fellow undergrads, press on and jia you. The hols are coming.
To the working class, its never easy but strive on, for the better of your life and future.
To the operational ready (what does D stand for?) people, just work enough to live properly and enjoy whats left of pre-uni life.
To the NSmen, it will be over soon and enjoy your 11 benefits to the fullest.
To the one flying off, I hope our schedules allow us to meet up once before you go. But if really cannot, I'm wishing you all the best and we will miss your presence.

Dinner on Sat

This is the location of Ting Yuan, drawn according to my memory. If you don't trust, the link to streetdirectory search result of Liang Seah Street is here. We can meet at Bugis and go there together actually. This is for late comers and those who decides to pop by for a surprise. Haha.
I didn't make reservation cos 5 person should be easy. (And becasue I lost their number lah. Haha!) I dunno if they sell yu sheng cos sat is chu 7. Just nice. If have then we lo hei ok?
For those who are not coming, I think you are losing out big time. This is the best steamboat buffet I ever had in singapore. After I tried this place, I never visit marina south, chong qing or tian tian anymore although those places are cheaper. And coupled with great company, what more can you ask for? Haha.
Alrighty! See you guys.

Apologies for letting the fact that Den and Lun cannot go people's house bai nian slip my mind.
So we eat out? I even happier. Haha. No need to prepare and wash up. Eat already, pat pat backside can go. Hehe.
And hor.. can we have it on Saturday instead? Which days you all have problems with actually?
Do get back k!

Dead Town
[Ed: Done with the mess. The username is now gang_of_all@hotmail.com. Password remain unchanged. Thanks!]
Anyway, back to my point proper. As you all know, Chinese New Year is around the corner. So I am inviting you guys over to my place for a steamboat dinner on Friday (23 Feb). Rationale is simple. We shared the cost for the steamboat pot. And I feel bad for treating it like mine, having my own steamboat feast with other people. And since the reason we bought the thing is for steamboat gatherings. So I am taking the initiative to invite you all over. And since I have been using it, the pot has been depreciated quite alot now, so the food and all will be on me. Just bring your asses and 2 oranges down. I am still quite traditional in this aspect and frankly speaking I was quite disappointed when only Yu and Mak brought oranges the other time. Haha. But then, this time round I will try to get my mum out of the house to minimise our losses. LOL! Jokes lah.
Please do make a note on your calendar. Friday evening of Chinese new year week. Partners are invited. Please RSVP so that I know how many person's share I need to prepare. Don't get me bugging at you asking if you can come huh. Initiative to send me an SMS or a msg over MSN is very much appreciated. Thank you! :)
Oh yah, those people who haven't received my xmas card (lun, delon & xia, jian & xue), please come hor or at least send one representative out of a pair lah. Hahaha. Its super overdue. And I think some of the cards are with other people. Please try to return them to me too ok? Wth, xmas card. I can't believe this man. haha.
One final note, not being naggy, but a friendly reminder, RSVP!

23rd
Nonetheless, pizza sounds good to me and Bojangles might be a dangerous temptation if I happen to get the Tua Leng Gong Van out that night. Just make sure that I don't even drink a sip.
I am good to go on 23rd. Let me know the details. No violent objections to the gifts exchange, lucky draw style.
Live It Up,
Mak
Yes, you didn't read wrongly. Its Mak.

Xmas plans
As the title suggests, the christmas dinner on 23rd will still go on. I think its not very fair (to the other people) to let a few people spoil the whole event and our enthusiasm.
But due to the fact that attendance might not be satisfying, I think we should not book the chalet anymore. If not it will be quite bad for our pockets. Then we can use the money to eat better food.
Attendance so far:
- Yin
- Yu
- Mui + Bf
- Den
- Mak
- Chay
- Peg +Bf [but bf say if no bf/gf go then he not going]
- Huijie
Gift Exchange
Since its a christmas thingy, I think it would be fun to have a gift exchange. But since our gang event is always so prone to last minute changes, I think it might be easier to buy general stuff and just exchange by drawing lots or that sort of thing. If not if last minute people pull out, someone might end up with no present that day and I think its not very nice.
I do understand the difficulty of buying general, unisex stuff. But I hope we bear in mind that as 20 year olds, we are kinda too old for soft toys, chocolates might be too sinful for us etc. Haha! Actually Yin suggested we should restrict/ban some gift ideas (i think due to her traumatic hp pouch experience!) but I feel restrictions will spoil the fun of it. And the whole idea of this is not about the materiality of the present but the fun and the spirit of sharing and giving for the season. And I think we should be old enough to decide what goes and what doesn't.
But then, we are living in a democratic country, hence a democratic gang. If you have violent objections, please do voice out ok? :)
Edit: Price range for gift about $10-$20.
Venue:
Since we are not having a chalet anymore, I think it would be good to have somewhere we can chill out and sit longer. Having said that, town's out! The ideal place (to me) is somewhere less buzzy. And hence, town's out again! HAHA!
I'm proposing Rocky's Pizza (link)@ Rail Mall. Where our good old hangout, Bojangles is. I tried once eons ago, it was pretty good. Better than Pizza Hut and Canadian. I hope their standard don't change. I passed by it today and there were only 2 familes of 4 on a Sunday evening. So I assume it should be quite peaceful there and we should be able to sit there and chill. And even if we wanna chill till very very late, there's still our good old Bojangles to go to. :)
Food wise, you can take a look at the menu from the website. There's a link if you goon didn't notice. Its quite reasonable. About $10 for a plate of pasta. A large pizza for about 2-4 pax is about $20-$30.
Location wise, it should be pretty convenient for most of us. I would gladly love to send you all home in my Jazzie baby. Although cannot take alot lah. But the F-ing Kah Motors now tell me it will only be ready for collection on 26th! $^@#$ And I'm prepared for further delays. :(
And once again, democracy. I am only suggesting because I get the idea that no one really knows where to go. If you have better places, do suggest!
If you all are cool with Rocky's, then I will make reservation k? Although it might not be necessary. But better be safe. If not we one big group quite hard to get seats sometimes. So if you wanna bring your other half, do let me know so that I can reserve for the correct number. [Chay, Mary is welcomed. I would love to meet her. AND SEE IF YOU ARE RIGHT BY ASKING ME FOR MY SIZE! haha.] And do get him/her involved in the gift exchange as well ok?
Dress Code:
I dunno if you all still wanna go for the initial dress code since its so near. Haha! I'm fine with it actually. Smart casual for guys. Lil' casual dresses for girls (not the prom dress kinda lah).
Alrighty, thats about all. Sorry ah. A bit lo so. We really don't have to force this thing. But I'm just trying to make everyone happy as much as I can and keep this tradition of ours. Its pointless to just get upset and screw the whole thing just because some people cannot make it (I know I was guilty of that in the past but I learn already). We should still go ahead and have our own fun. Okok?
But that doesn't mean that you can just ignore and bo hiew my long long post. I still need confirmation so that I can make reservation k? Haha.
Till then!
love,
pEg

Measures of a man
However, freedom only appear in one colour. PINK
Anyway, i will be out soon.
One of the most important i learn is how to be a man.
So what is a man??
Hmm
After so much physical stuff that we do everyday will make our muscles more define and develop. Maybe that is training to be a man.
But too superficial already leh, some muscular guys also act like sissy.
Maybe admitting to the own faults is being man. Just like the guy who admits farting in front of the officer when he is talking.
But that one is integrity, a value that everyone should have.
Maybe it is about giving abit more to others when everyone is feeling very shag and tired. Just like me helping some slow mole in digging their shellscrape after 5 days outfield.
But it is about being helpful.
I finally came to understand what is the true meaning of man after last week route march.
Everyone was marching with high morale, singing all the way, encouraging each other. Although there may be people dropping out but we were satisfied by our performance.
When everything is over and it is time to wash up, i finally found the answer that i am looking for.
A true man will walk with a limp and his leg very very wide open. Just like a girl i use to like, who walks with her leg really wide open and we used to make fun of her because of that.
Haha, not funny. But nvm, at least i got put some sensical stuff here.
Will blog more when i come back next time
