Hey! How's new year? My angbaos very feng fu ah.... 24!!!!!

24 bucks i mean. Three... one from ah yi, one from mum's god-ma's daughter-in-law, one from my cousin. So pathetic right... maybe during dad side ah ma's bday, i'll be able to get 4 or 5 more la... tat falls on the last day of CNY... haha. So lucky... cause still able to get angbaos. Ah ma actually went malaysia to celebrate CNY tat no one can go there n bai nian... But actually, what makes me happy during CNY is the atmosphere & gatherings with family... so angbaos is just a minor factor la...

I can't wait for the steamboat this sat!!! Haha...

Ohh ya rong, why is it chim? Nan dao u tout it's real? Haha... mak asked me to marry him on msn tat day so i agreed lo... HAHAHA! He's my mao pai lao gong la... horrr lao gong??? Hahahaa.

Peg, what a weird dream! I think u must be looking forward to this steamboat too, tatz y u would dream of tat... hmmm.. it must be...

Well, me signing off now... meanwhile enjoy ur CNY peepz!

Love, YIN...

rong
I had a dream last night. Da nian chu yi night I dreamt of that.

I think because I kept thinking about our steamboat. how to get the pot from Rong? Where should we eat ie. kitchen or living room. What food should we buy etc etc.

AND.

I dreamt of me waiting at home for you all til 11pm. haha. We were supposed to start steamboat at 9pm. (don't ask me how come) The soup boil until going to dry up in the pot liao. I wait until I so pissed yet trying to contain my anger. My mama kept asking me what time you all coming. And I remember when the first few ppl (think is Yin, Mak, Lun and Den - the more punctual ones) reach, I gave them a "you are late" face and Mak said "aiya, late for 2 hours only mah"

-_-'''

Found it quite funny though.

Btw, I should be going to get the pot from Rong later. If nothing goes wrong.

Till then.

pEg

ps: the previous post was by me. Quite obvious though. just in case some ppl wanna ask. who else always forget to sign off. tsk.
Congrats to Chay, for being the first to bid farewell to teen-hood.

Start acting like an adult now.

First step: Leave behind whatever you need to leave behind.

Second step: Forget whoever you need to forget.

Third step: Let go what you need to let go.

It all sums up to the same thing lah. Hahaa. And you all know what it means.

And most importantly, make peace. =D Shiyin wait for quan jia fu wait until neck long liao. I wait for the day we can ALL get together until I grow fat liao. (ok, lousy illustration) And I will continue to wait for the day to hear you 2 sing zhang xin again. =)

Haha.

Happie birthday lah! I almost forgot. Hee. But I saw your tag. Tsk.

The rest. Know what to do le hor. Zi dong yi dian hor.

27 January 2006

I also don't want a 4-people steamboat... u all... better make it unless u've a VERY good reason which is enough to get through me... muahahaaaaa.

Alright la, just try ur best kay? I won't force, but wish tat my dream of a 'quan jia fu' can be fulfilled before all of us turn 20. OR at least 3/4 of e quan jia ren? Haha. Aiya, just get ur ass to peg's house next sat la!

So set kay... STEAMBOAT WILL BE ON THE 4TH FEB (SAT) AT PEG'S HOUSE. Time's not set yet, will further notice. We'll be having steamboat lunch, but of cuz, those who can stay for e whole day can stay on, cuz peg wun be chasing us away, am i right darling? Heex.

I'm here to blog to create a new post... since it has been 3 days that a new post's been created. Haha. Happy New Year people! Enjoy! Get more angbaos! ;)

Love, YIN...

23 January 2006

yeah yeah..

I will help out with the food. Anyway I dunno why by default I am always involved in food preparation one. Recall newton chalet and our BBQ at teck whye garden almost a year back. So even if I don't volunteer, darling Yin will also shoot the arrow to me. I can feel it. Haha.

Yin u wanna be song IC. I have COMMENT!!! My god. I am imagining what you gonna turn my house (or Rong's house) into man. You wanna come and fight with my neighbour ah? My neighbour sometimes plays "hua hee tio ho" and the "tau gei been chao chao". And when she plays, she blast it such that it seems to be playing from my own Hi-fi. Haha. You can come and fight with her with "he xin nian, zhu xin nian".

I thought I still have one can of abalone at home after I used up one to cook instant noodles. Haha. but my mama just ate it up yesterday. Hah. TOO BAD!!

And you sure that yu sheng thingy is call bee hoon? Hahaha. I think if you buy the whole pack one, all should be included. But the fish how? Shall we have salmon? *slurps*

The problem is.... So far the list is only as follows:

Confirm OK:
Peg
Yin
Mak
Lun (if i dint rmb wrongly)

Confirm Cannot:
Chay
Delon

Cannot confirm yet:
Den
Jian

No news at all:
Rong
Yu
Mui
Huijie
Des

I don't want to have a 4 person steamboat can. Can you imagine. 4 of us, sit around the square table. Just nice one on each side. Eat steamboat, lao yu sheng. My god! How INTERESTING.

Although I seem to have no luck in gambling, CNY is the only time everyone will want to gamble and it seem like a norm. It brings out the atmosphere also. Tsk. I don't mind. But I think our dear Yirong cannot again lor.

From the picture, I think Yin has a nicer smile. Maybe its this pic but Sandra Bullock's mouth looks BIG. And I don't think Yin's smile is like that.

Who's the idiot who came up with these IC thingy, making simple gatherings sound so BIG SCALE? Hahaaa. I know its me lah. But I can't help but think we are making things sound so big scale when its just a simple gathering. Hahaha.

Regarding spring cleaning, I'm glad my house just had a revamp last year. And everything still look pretty nice. My mum did abit of decor which I thought was just nice. Simple with a little touch of CNY. I like it lah. I spring cleaned my room but my table is messy again 'cos I'm such a mugger. Muahaha.

Only thing lacking is CNY goodies. Haha. I'm not sure if we are buying this year cos normally no one comes to my house one. And it will all end up in our own stomachs, which mean weight to gain. But to the very least I will have my Ah Ma's pineapple tarts which I think some of you ate before. I'm here at Newton and she's in the kitchen churning them out now. Muahhaa. So exciting!!

K lah, thats all. I go play with melody liao. (tempt lun)

To: yu & mak...

It's okay that u all din go ktv la... dun hv to sorry here & there. I can understand each of ur situation... but anyway chevrons was rlly cheap! We paid $8.70 each tat night only... 4hrs with a drink.

Hmmm mak, my cousin's tall... tatz true... pretty... hmmm quite alright... i've seen her for like 10+ yrs, rlly dunno hw to judge. But we are cousins... so since her cousin's pretty, she's not bad too. Muahaha. But wait... virtuous? I can say... she's rather far from tat... u can call her trendy, a lit wild, playful, ohh bt nt virtuous. Haha...

Haha... i went to find sandra bullock pics immediately upon reading ur post...

Image hosting by PhotobucketImage hosting by Photobucket

Please rate the similarity, people. Haha.. I really think it's funny putting these 2 pics tog... so different... regarding e smile, i dunno how to judge too... hahaha.

Regarding the steamboat gathering, is there really a date which can accomodate EVERYONE? If not, as wad i said to peg, there's sure to be at least one we'll hv to sacrifice to get the majority. So, one has to be e date IC. Make it easier everyone... all of u is to tag all ur available dates from 31st jan-5thfeb ASAP. The venue IC and the date IC will be the same. So peg... i'll help out on e date... dun worry. Venue most prob will be at peg's place... I volunteer to be e food IC, this seems to be one of e most tedious tasks but well, i noe NO ONE will take tat. BUT... one request from me, i need TWO persons to help me... u dun expect me to SHOP for e food alone & carry those stuffs ALONE rightttttttttttttttttttt. By this sun, if no one volunteers, i shall name.

On tat day itself, all e food ICs of course will be meeting earlier... after shopping, we'll go rong's place to get e steamboat wok, pot? Haha... i'm actually now in sch classroom typing these... when i turned to ask them what's 'huo guo' in eng... all 3 turned to look at me at e same time, "steamboat", and all turned and laughed. Hen hao xiao meh... haa. I also noe it's called staemboat... i meant tat pot thingy. Okay enough of tat. Anyway, this is e planning for food ICs. I agree on e 'NO alcohol' on tat day too... i dun wish to see e 3rd person in this gang being dead drunk, games ending soon, all secrets leaked, bullshits flying over, tears flowing down... so ya, hide e chivas 1stm, peg. Till everyone's leaving, then return it to mak. Haha.

Let's lao yu sheng, shall we? It's ard $10+ per bowl of ingredients only, and we all can share... okay ah? I settle tat... but e bee hoon for e lao yu sheng, will it be included in e bowl too? I dun think i saw it... if not, where can we get? Anyone noes?

Ohh ya, i guess no one will be taking e attendace IC right... i wun be taking tat too. Just wanna say, pls contribute if u've never done so. BUSY is definitely not an excuse. I'm busy too... peg's busy too... everyone's busy. It's e thought and efforts that u place in a certain thing.

As for e prog IC, mak's volunteering, and i believe he's up to e job, since tat 'hu ke chuan zhang' is so damn fun... ha. Maybe everyone can brainstorm too lo... some nice games to play... if not it'll be so boring tat day. Remember... there'll be no alcohol... so all games are needed to be REAL FUN to keep e CNY atmosphere lively.

AND... i'll be e SONGS IC. Okay... i believe no one will disagree right... so that shall be it. No one is to comment and argue on this anymore. SHH!

Will we all be gambling? Just asking... cause i'm just wondering... haha.

So, how's preparation for CNY, everyone? Just heard from mak's preparation activities... maybe u all wan to share too... my house had just got repainted too... only e living room la... decorations are not put up yet... hmmm spring cleaning's not done too, as mum's sick these few days. Maybe as e eldest, i should learn from mak... phew~ Ever since dunno when i started working part-time regularly, i haven't been helping with the household chores... really feel quite guilty. I promise myself here tat i'll be helping mum with the household chores after CNY. Haha...

Chay... there's sure to be sth gd abt everybody in this world... dun hv to feel disheartened. One thing gd i can think of about u is... u're never selfish... always willing to help ur frenz when they're in need, and also being very generous. Yupp, this is ur you dian... keep it up! U ain't a bad choice at all... just believe tat u're good, and u'll be good. =)

Hao le... it's already11.38am... i'm gng to do my work. See ya all during CNY! Meanwhile, enjoy ur spring cleaning & shopping! ;)

Love, YIN...

Hug Hug

Come people, let us be nice and good to everyone. No more debate, but can discuss in a gentle manner. Lets give each other a big friendship hug.

HUG HUG

Before i start anything, i want to help out in organising the steamboat. I need the following people to hold the various appointments.

1. Attendance IC
2. Food IC
3. Drinks IC
4. Program IC
5. Venue IC

I volunteer drinks, but i hope that we dun drink alcohol( every liquid solution which contain -OH funcational group) that day. Pls volunteer yourself if not arrows will be flying around. Geneva conventions does not apply here.

For those who cant make it, you have to give a very very valid reason if not the next activity willl be plan by you.
For the only guy that reply you cant make it, pls give a valid reason asap, if not .........

Pls see if your family have extra can of abalone or scallop that is not use and bring it to along.

That should be all for the CNY program.

I think we should be thankful that we got pretty girls to see at our blog. The first person that you see on your left now is a horny cow, who i think isnt visually appealing. So we need all the female beauties below to balance the whole picture.

Too bad that twins is going single now. But we still got to see charlene choi. She is so KAWAII!!

In reponse to the debate regarding our similarity, i agree to a large extent that we boys have a large amount of similarity. Which binds us together. It may not be so good as we need to diversify. Just like in nature, food web. You cannot have component that is too large or too small. If not they will be unbalance. But given time, nature will balance it.

Thats all for today

Somehow I feel that I have stepped on someone's tail without realising it. And as I was wondering why, our reader told me perhaps that someone misinterpreted me.

"Lets do some useful stuff rather than flooding our tagboards with insults, vulgarities, dirty talks and what-have-you."

I meant we should stop the "smile like charlene choi" debate on our tagboard and blog about something which will generate useful "products" like a gathering for CNY.

I though I should clarify. Because I keep feeling gunpowder being thrown at me, waiting for a debate.

MAYBE I'm just sensitive.

But I though I should clarify.

If its not the case, then just ignore this post.

Peace,

To the people who are interested..

disclaimer notice:

for people who are easily bored, impatient, busy, in a hurry, rushing for time, in a serious mood for serious work, allergic to useless readings, with no sense of humour and simply do not wish to read crap, please do not continue.. coz, this is just another boring and useless crap by Mak.

thanks.

hahaha..

delon, your tag made me laughed for quite a while.. good one there! i can almost imagine the scenario from the way you typed it..

haha.. chay, your tag made me laughed for quite a while too.. hahaha.. i doubt you were having illusion, but i think you wouldn't disagree with me right? most of the guys in this gang have similar family upbrining, similar types of friends and thinking, and may even end up having the same preference of types of girlfriends.. perhaps thats why we can be good buddies for so long and so close..

hm.. well, perhaps..

chay, i can also make it on th 4 Feb as long as it is not too late..

den and shiyin, i am absolutely very sorry for not being able to make it for the ktv.. really cannot this weekend ar.. i am sorry and i promise that the next one you organise i will sure go, ok?

firstly, my house undergoing "spring cleaning", and since i am at home, i am obliged to help out mah.. who else would? haha.. if my two brothers would bother to lend a hand, i will win 4D ar!

so now my house doing some re-painting and major cleaning.. i contributed 3 new wardrobes for me and my 2 brothers too.. we used to share one medium sized one, but now that we are quite grown up, having more and more clothes, i decided to sponsor everyone a individual wardrobe since the old one looks about to collapse also..

i also made a record spending of more than $200 in 15 minutes.. this happened when i went to buy "nian huo" with my family.. although my father say that he will pay me back, i am not going to take from him.. how can I, right? as a child who is earning money, it is only right to give and contribute to the family when in need..

plus, new year is just once a year, and this is the first time when i try to pay for everything in the new year period.. first time doing it and i already feel the "heart pain" and "sadness" of spending for something not for me.. you see, i am going into OCS tonight.. that means all the "bak kua", peanut puffs, prawn rolls, love letters, chocolates, cuttlefish and crackers that i bought are out of range for me.. by the next saturday when i book out, i can bet that they would all have been devoured by my dad. mum, brothers and my dog.. grr~

my parents have been doing this for the past 20 years! don't know how they pull through suffering this "injustice".. buy so much food but their sons eat most of it.. and the additional expenses they face during these period of time.. whoa..

so, den and shiyin, i am quite broke le, can say my one month's pay gone in 3 days.. and i see more to come.. hmm.. being an adult is not easy..

actually i badly wanted to go KTV yesterday.. i heard that Shiyin's cousin will be there? hm.. i have long heard of her "wonderfull-ness" and want to see for myself.. but i was worried that if i went, she may be attracted to me and not look at Den anymore.. den, being more desperate, may start to feel sad and angry with me for snatching his "prey", and launch an entirely new "CD saga" renamed to "MD saga".. hahaha..

by the way, shiyin, next ktv ask her out again ok? hahaha... tall girls who are virtuous and pretty are a rare commodity, and are highly valued by me and Den.. haha.. too bad i don't have friends like that..

one more by the way to shiyin, did anyone tell you that you can look like sandra bullock when you smile? i saw her on tv last night and i thought from certain angle, you look quite like her..

dun worry... she don't have double chin..

hm.. but, i heard she don't shave her armpit hair.. and her P hair..

EEEwwww..

quite an ultimate turn off for me..

hahaha..

regards,
mak

Do you know....

That next weekend is CNY already?

19 January 2006

YArRr..

first, congrats to Peggen for finally getting her driving licsene.. well done there!! haha.. give me a ride sometime in that stylo milo car of yours ( dad ) k? yar, and siew yu is right about you being the first driver of the gang.. heehee... well, don't be sad, the rest of the gang, there are still records to fight for.. erm, things like the first person to get the licsene on the first test.. the first person to own a car.. the first person to bang people's backside.. and of course, the first person to get banged on the backside.. hahaha... anyway, congrats and be careful when you drive.. not that i doubt your skills, but i doubt the other drivers.. the number of bad Taxi drivers and SBS drivers i have seen is more than enough to make me off my discman ( Weilun's) off that instant when i cross the road or when i go road cycling.. wish you safe and smooth driving forever!

next, congrats to siew yu too! well done there in coming in 2nd for one of the most prestigious annual dance com in singapore! wished i could have been there to watch it, but anyway, i think the results told me that you were good.. work hard and i am sure with more effort, the next competition would be a champion for you and your team.. back in JC council days, i could still remember the days when i was siao-on about dancing.. haha, well, probably becasue i am quite good at it and its one of the best ways to attract girls' attention during orientation and all.. hahaha.. but sadly, we just didn't have time for dancing to make it competition material when we have our CCA and A-Levels to juggle.. perhaps dancing is like Maths, just be hardworking enough to practice, and dancing would be a A1 for you..

next, CYC, how could you not come to the steamboat? as the saying goes, "at home depend on parents, outside depend on friends," its like a reunion dinner for all of us! 6 years of friendship, and some longer with you, and you are doing this? you ought to feel guilty, buddy.. well, if you have something on the 4 Feb, I am fine with changing the dates if the rest wants to.. just keep me informed beforehand via SMS..

i had not been home for the past 2 days and was staying in camp for duty.. right now, i am just simply glad to be at home even though its not a weekend or Friday.. it appears that next week, i would become very busy with preparation for JST in my coming trip to Brunei.. and its because of that, my appointment to extract my wisdom teeth have been postponed to later this year.. "Oh shit.." to the loss of freedom and staying-in, but "Thank goodness" for sparing me white-porraige-with-bubble-tea-straws until later.. but hey, come to think of it, stay-in saves money.. so it is not that bad after all eh?

was speaking to jian wei that time about getting married and things like that.. and that conversation, although short-lived, has got me thinking about it for the past few days.. it is really damn hard to get married in singapore.. first of all, it is pretty hard to get a house (even for a normal 4 or 5 room flat).. i have heard of people paying the instalments of a house using GENERATIONS of descendants.. which means, for example, David's ah gong may have bought the nice apartment when he was 40 years old and started to "gong" it.. when he died, the house haven't "gong" finish, so pass on to David's father to "gong".. David's father died and the house still haven't "gong" finish.. and now, David is working his ass out to "gong" the apartment so that hopefully, his son can live in that apartment and call it his own..

weird logic but hey.. how practical..

i want to be like my dad.. one shot, cold hard cash buy my own house, get my own car but, how is it possible in today's society? it is definitely more practical to aim for a "instalment plan that ends before you die".. which means i will have to work my ass out, don't fall sick to some major illness, don't go on holidays, don't eat meals more than $2.00, don't pay when taking MRT or buses and maybe, don't even use the water and electricity at home..

it means no parties, yes, not even once in a while.. no ktv, not even those $3 per hour in the Community Centers.. no romantic dinners at posh restaurants like Le Ashe.. no seafood with beautiful backdrops like the Fisherman Village..

wow...

haha.. i can go on for hours but i can see some of you all yawning now and rolling your eyes at this entry already.. ok, i know this is getting boring and you are as interested as Den is to Neo Li Lin..

that means, (just in case you don't get it), you are NOT interested..

you know what, KTVs once a while and drinking once a while is gonna be in my life still.. so is a nice 5 room flat and a Mitsubishi Lancer.. and maybe, if i can, i will include a street of terrace-house ( ohhh yes, a street.. ) and a Jaguar XKR...

hahaha...

oh, by the way, Wang Lee Hom's latest album, Gai Shi Ying Xiong, is a great album.. some not so great tracks but definitely a few ultra-amazing tracks like "Zai Mei Bian", "Hua Tian Cuo", "Gai Shi Ying Xiong", "Kiss Goodbye".. and my favourite "Da Cheng Xiao Ai"..

"Da Cheng Xiao Ai" simply describes me and my love to Sheh Shi Man.. like its written just for me and...

oh..

okok.. the yawn is getting wider and louder..

i get the hint..

regards,

hahaha.. happy to see the word "regards" eh? hahahaha...

regards,
mak

You don't know how nervous I was before taht and how happy I feel after that.

Its like receiving A level results.

Can't sit still and can't stop worrying before that. But can't stop smiling after that.

Muahahha.

I'm damn happy.

I may not be driving so soon. So don't ask me for a ride. Haha.

But I'm just happy I got it. Cos I spent so much already.

Yeah!!!

new year

Hello.

I think i will hav to give the chinese new year gathering a miss at friends house cause i will be MIA for the period of chinese new year. 4 feb is my dinner and dance. *wink*

Finally finish my final yaer project and the whole thing really got my sleeping routine into a mess. It wun help if you got team mate who meets boyfriend during project and another who goes for drinking session when the dateline is close.

Really flattered when our dear jia yuan said that i can swing the bench. I still can do that last time using the old sch bench, by the present one really heavy although it is much more colourful. Your solutions in dealing with them not tactical leh, what if they call in reinforcement when they are still struggling or pull a grenade doing a "kamikaze" stunt . Maybe if we meet up can discuss how we can deal with them, just in case terrorist visit our blog and learn to counter attack.

They are merely CLTs which means that they receive not much military training. They can be easly be overcome by a few strong guys (like us :) ), if their extra cca isnt martial arts. Should have done that during our sec one camp when i was tekan for no apparant reason.

The mrt bombing looks very interesting. If you have watch the news and saw the "victim relatives" going to hospital to "look" for the victim. Really make the whole event seems so interesting. I think the most important thing is liaising work between different agencies and organisation.Everything comes to a standstill if communicaition breakdown, just like not having a handphone with you. Kind of boring talking about it.

Kind of miss going back to our sec sch. Sad. Dun have much time and chance to go back.

Before i go, just a gentle reminder for all my female friends. If you are wearing short skirt, try not to take stairs. I just spotted a guy near my lift peeping up at the girl who is walking up the stairs. You may sue the guy for peeping tom, but he can also sue you for indecent exposure.

15 January 2006

Hey people, did someone do something to our template? How come the font looks different? I prefer the old one leh. Maybe just not used to it lah.

Anyway, Mak, your that long post, I read all of it. Haha. It may not be as interesting and its relevant lah. Haha. Yirong says she took the entire Sunday afternoon just to read your posts. Poor thing. Can you please spare us from these? Haha.

Anyway, I just wanna comment on the Christmas celebration part. Well, I know we celebrate Christmas differently. Cos for the Ang Mohs, Christmas is like our Chinese New Year where they spend it with their families. But since we don't have the tradition of celebrating it, we look elsewhere for fun and entertainment since its a holiday.

I'm not sure how serious the molest cases were cos I kind of feel that the entire thing was blew up by xiaxue. I don't know lah. I wasnt in the crowd during Christmas eve but I know that the whole aerosal foam spray thing is rather out of hand. About molesting, I'm not sure.

And about the whole long part on the "bombing" of MRT. I think that its a good exercise. but just don't make it until it becomes fire-drill in primary and secondary schools. You all know how its like. We just drag our feet and go for it. Even if its a real fire, we might also think that its a drill kind of thing. It defeat the whole purpose lah.

Anyway, for CNY steamboat. We need to come out with a date. Venue wise I think its quite flexible. Its either Rong's place or my place. If no one's house is available, there's still Newton Chalet. But that would be the last choice like I said cos I don't want to trouble my Ah Ma. Even if we say we prepare ourselves, knowing her, she will want to help us prepare one.

Since its CNY, I really hope all of us can turn up. Like some reunion dinner like that. hahah. Maybe Jian can bring Xue too and since its CNY, we can seek peace and hormony for a new year! =) (I've been inviting Xue for our gatherings since dunno when liao)

Proposed dates are:

31 Jan (chu 3) lunch
3 Feb (fri) dinner
4 Feb (sat) lunch or dinner
5 Feb (sun) lunch

Must I organise? Can someone take over? Hahaha. Someone who hasn't been doing it. If not then I have to xi sheng xiao wo, wan cheng da wo lor.

But you all know I will scream if you all don't cooperate by giving me the dates.

Thats all for now. Abit early I know. But just wanna make sure everyone can turn up so have to book you all first. Hahaha

News Flash!

NEWS FLASH!
The Straits Times today, 12 January 2006, had a report on the probability of paying for the background music used on personal blogs or websites.
As I understood, the Composers and Authors Society of Singapore (COMPASS) has revealed that in the near future, users may be charged $1000 a year for the rights to use 10 songs or less on the website, $5000 for 11 - 49 songs, and $10,000 for 50 songs and above.
I do not know how many of you have music on your personal blogs or websites, but I think not many of you read newspapers daily. Neither do I. I happened to chance upon today's papers while I was waiting at the hospital for my consultation. So, through this page, I hope to inform all readers about this news, in case you get caught unaware.
For more information, please refer to the Home section, Page H7.

Mak

HmmmMMMmmm..

well well well..

i don't really know what to type here today..

just here to announce that i am going to pluck my wisdom teeth soon, and instead of the bottom 2 only, which was the initial plan, i am now plucking all 4. it will be split into 2 surgeries, the left and the right respectively. although i would have prefer General Anesthestic, i will only be provided with Local Anesthetic.

so, if you all free to help me, maybe can ask around and see if you got anyone who can give advice on this issue, people like your friends or your mum. Things like what to eat, what not to eat, what to do and what not to do and so on. i would greatly appreciate the help.

i will be plucking on the 23rd Jan and 7 Feb at Alexandra Hospital.

Otherwise, i really have nothing much to talk about.

Regards,
mak

09 January 2006

I'm backkk.

Woah... so many posts after 2 days... hahaha. Gotta say sorrie here 1st with no photos & replies. Com was lag on sat night & sun night nt free.

"Hey Shiyin, only 2 days after u blog and u want people to respond ar? haha.. that time when i was in australia, the blog can be untouched for 5, 6 days one leh.. hahaha... now you know how it feels eh? hahaha..."

see? its still me here! hahaha.. well well well, shiyin, wheres your response to my posts, huh? haha..

Eh mak, u suddenly came up with 3 posts within 2 days & u expect me to reply immediately? *rolls eyes*

Haha... yes i noe how it feels now.

so, my first point, who doesn't have a criteria? (quoted from mak)

Actually we shouldn't even use e word 'criteria'... aiya afterall, e most reliable factor is our FEELINGS. I dunno, but usually when u meet e person for e 1st or second times, u'll immediately noe whether this person is e one u would fall for. Isn't it true? Not comparable to those who rise from friends to lovers de la... i'm talking in general. And i think 'criteria' sort of belongs to stuffs like money, car, all these de...

AND... what is wrong with my 'rebate'? Very funnie hor... ##$%&*&*&$#*.

Wahhh how come everyone's like interested in my cousin huh... ni men zhe xie nan ren... zhen shi de... zhao bu dao ren zhao wo biao mei???

Aiyo wad's abt e stimulation thingy u're talking abt... u noe... i think u typed abt 10 paras on tat contents & i skipped all & read 2 or 3... haha.. really sorrie.. but i find it kinda boring... dun worry, it's nt ur phrasings or words, cause ur writing is good enough... BUT... itz just my own prob la hor... i dun like reading such stuffs... i'm more towards entertainment news. Haha.

hahaha.. i feel like doing another one on the Molest incidents that happened at the New Year Parties and Countdowns.. but after thinking it through, i only have three words to say to the victims of molest..

This is then the beginning of a more interesting stuff.

For this right... i definitely have my own views here. Look... singapore is like so damn small & not all families celebrate x'mas, so in conclusion, where do all e youngsters go? Where else, BUT town? Those girls are just gng there to have fun & all... but itz all e foreign workers' faults, who started to get horny & stuffs... really detest them. Can't they go home & touch their own mothers, wives or daughters? WHY mix ard with our spore girls... HUH. The more i think of those innocent girls' situations, e more angry i get. Er xin.

But of cuz we mustn't yi zhi zhu gan da fang quan chuan ren. Okay i'm unsure of this phrase, whether it's e right way. But according to my parents, who're like 'REBATING' with me now, cuz i insisted tat it can't be YI ZHI ZHU GAN (ONE BAMBOO POLE), they said it's e right way. Okay whatever it is, i'm just trying to say tat... maybe out of so many foreign workers, there might be a few who're innocent & doesn't bully girls. Maybe only lar.

But i hadn't heard of any news abt pple who try to push e blame to e police officers... If there are, i'll then agree with mak... as i dun think tat e police officers can have a way to do anything abt it too...

"long long, sexy sexy. loud loud, play netball"

Hahaha sorry but i can't stop laughing at this phrase of description... wad long long... sounds censored cann...

(not right also must say right leh, if not both of us lose face.)

If tatz e case, wad can i do but to agree totally with u now? Hahaha...

Hao le... i'll upload e photos tonight after peg sent me e username n password of our yahoo account.

Gtg!

Love, YIN...

heyhey

Hey hey, I'm here. Although I don't have the advantage of taking leave today and having a long weekend. I have the "advantage" of a 3 hour plus break since 11 plus to 3.30. Damn.

Before Mak starts complaining that no one respond, here I am.

"Some people may have a list of criteria of their perfect partner and wouldn't get attached before he/she can find someone who fits all criteria. That, to me, is not being realistic at all.
i thought this was directed at me when i first read it.. "

Please lor, Mak Jia Yuan. You are the last person I will think of when I type this. LAST PERSON. hahaha. Its like out of the way can? Although I wasn't targetting at anyone in particular, but if you detour abit, maybe can reach ShiYin lah. But you? HAH HAH.

"long long, sexy sexy. loud loud, play netball" Woah, this girls sounds like a nice girl. Hahaha.

You see, ShiYin, Mak can't stop suaning you about the "rebate" thingy. I told you all liao what. You do something stupid to him/infront of him once and he will remember it for life. Hahaha. Remember my farting in front of him and stuff example which made me got shoot until like dunno what?

But don't worry, my darling, I will defend you and help you rebate, oops, I mean debate. Haha. I guess Yin was thinking of 2 words at that moment. She wanted to say "debate" and "rebut" and in a slip of mouth, "rebate" came out. She didn't mean NTUC rebate la. Hah. I'm looking like an idiot, sitting alone in a study room, smiling at my screen as I type this. I hope no one walks pass and peep in. But I really can't help laughing. Haha. Ok, back to my point. Am I right about that Yin? That you were thinking of those 2 words at the same time. Ok, no need to say. I know. I know you love me and I know you best.

(not right also must say right leh, if not both of us lose face.)

"Hey! but your cousin can consider.. yesterday u said she quite tall right? figure like peggen ar? but face not like right? haha.. like that can consider liao.. hahaha.."
Mak, don't xiang bu kai k? How come your previous failures made you change taste and decide to go for not-so-good looking girls? Don't like that lah, don't despair k? Can find one lah. Don't xie qi.

(shiyin, I'm not saying you cousin not pretty hor. You know my intention. Haha.)

Today I'm just in the mood to shoot people. Don't know why.

Chay, drink more water. Drink alot alot of water. Maybe will help.

Its almost 3.30. Time for biz law. Argh. BTW, my biz law prof looks like Ms Sim from the back. Really look alike. From the back.

Got time I go sharpen knife then come and fight war again.

Bye!

Bao Zhang Bao Dao

whoa..

see? its still me here! hahaha.. well well well, shiyin, wheres your response to my posts, huh? haha..

well, i came with the idea that i could have something to debate about.. but sadly, i think with the school re-opening and all, you people are quite busy.. hahaha..

then i will just imagine myself as some pro-writer, doing my column here, ok? hahaha.. practise abit of writing and learn how to give my views equally.. like in General Paper back in JC days.. hahaha.. the other reason is also that I am feeling quite bored at home now, with nothing on TV and no one free to chat online.. and also, i can also practise typing! i used to do 62 words per minute average typing "The red fox jumps over the lazy brown dog."

First, lets talk about something that concerns us - the emergency drills on public transport held last Sunday morning.. since no one here owns a car yet, it means public transport is a crucial part of our life, or like i would prefer to say, a large part of our expenses as well...

I don't know how you all feel, but i feel that the mock blasts and chemical attacks held at Raffles Place, Marina Bay, Dhoby Ghaut, Toa Payoh MRT stations and a bus at Toa Payoh Interchange was a great move by our government and the respective agencies.

Cliche it may sound, but I feel that such move prepares us for acts of terrorism that can happen to us. Singapore, in particular, should be even more guarded or prepared at the very least for such scenarios because of our geographical locations, our oil industry, our multi-national culture and our relatively lenient laws on the influx of foreigners. More importantly, I feel such exercises require the citizens participation and support simply because you, your family and your future are all on this land.

Does your 70 year old grandmother knows what to do if such an attack happens on the MRT as she is on her way to her weekly mahjong session? does your little brother knows the importance of staying calm and trying to offer assistance, if not follow evacuation procedures as ordered at the very least? Do you know who to approach, who to call for enquires if your family members are suspected to be trapped underground in an attack?

Frankly, I did not bother in the past.

After seeing trains getting bombed in Spain and London, I realised how vulnerable we are to acts of terrorism. The disruption of public transportation not only causes death and injuries to the masses, but also brings along a chain effect of consequences like economy slowdown leading to monetary problems to the nation, mutual fear and suspicion leading to racism and discrimnation, lack of trust in the governement leading to instability and political chaos.

Seeing pictures of the exercises and reading about it on the newspapers, I can't help but feel proud that our government is taking the initiative to perform such effort consuming and non-profitable drills. The money and effort SCDF spent to make it look real is definitely commendable and somehow, the way they handled the emergency won praises from many, ministers and public alike.

However, there are always lessons to be learnt from everything we do. And like the newspapers wrote, there are several problems that occurred which should not have. If I were to summarise them, they would be firstly, the excessive paperwork / red tape / bureacracies encountered by the "victim's" next-of-kin, the shortage of personnel to provide information on where to go and the usual problem of some people not being able to understand English. It is lucky that Singapore has a chance to have a "dry-run" on such an event first, so that we can learn what we missed out and ensure it not happen again on the real event. Also, in my view, we should also note that the proverb "practice makes perfect" should not be applied on such emergency drills.

Regular drills will only serve to take away the "surprise element" from people and make it seem like "its only a routine exercise". Not only that, the agencies like the SCDF, SPF and other services may start to develope a standard operating procedure, a standardised way of working and operating in these attacks, which is defintely adverse to the intention of preparing ourselves, for it may then become "just another rescue mission".

As observed from events around the world recently, we can come to a conclusion that people who really want to disrupt the peace and order of our normal lives are no longer stupid barbarians living in caves. They are as equally modern as us to the point where they can be learning how to fly planes, studying in renowned Universities, or even be the guy with a Armani hairstyle, wearing a Levis jeans, Nike top and listening to a iPod next to you on the bus. They plan and organise their attacks, usually making it very simple yet impactful.

Therefore, we should never assume that a car bomb always come in the form of a grey Mitsubishi van, or that sucide bombers are always guys who look like American Football player. Making it look like a routine will only make us complacent and cause more chaos in a different scenario. I can imagine that when one day, say for example when our water supply is contaminated, Kee Fong (don't know why I choose him, but his name just "popped" up for this scenario) may just shout,

"HEY! This is not part of the 'Tactics-of-terrorism'. They cannot do this, its not in the book! Its out of syllabus and we do not know what to do! Ask them to re-start the attack and go back to bombing trains!"

No offence, but like how I heard some elders comment, "Young Singaporeans will not know how to go home once the lift is spoilt."

Sounds ridiculous, I know. But don't you think it may actually happen? Not on us, of course. But if you baby cousin has only been taking the lift all his life, taking it for granted, I won't be surprise that when he reach 20 years old and the lift is under maintenance, he will reach out for his handphone and call his mum and ask what to do.

So to conclude, I would say its a good move by the government, but we should always be alert and not take it for granted. In addition, I would also suggest that if we were to have such exercises next time again, do not inform the SCDF and SPF about it before hand. Let them have the "element of surprise" as well. This will really serve to be a good drill then.

Now, I would like to bring you back to some years ago (can't remember which year), on the Total Defence Day. I can particularly remember a mock attack by members of NCC and NPCC of a secondary school on another school nearby, simulating Japanese invasion. If I remember correctly, this was what happened. The NCC and NPCC cadets stormed into the school, screaming and yelling at the kids. The cadets were deliberately rough on the kids, pushing them around, asking them to kneel down with their heads bowed and so on, as the cadets shout at them and bang on tables and chairs.

this simulation brought both positive and negative response from the public. a few of the good ones were that the school kids "finally understood" how it was like during the Japanese Occupation. Some kids could feel the "being suppressed" feeling and felt really patriotic after the exercise. Parents felt that this event was a better way to relate the World War than conventional lessons or story telling. On the other hand, there were also parents saying that its stupid, going through all the torture and yelling to learn about the Occupation. Who are the cadets to act tough and scream at my kids? My son got frightened and cried, this has caused him to become an introvert and has been sissi-fied, pussi-fied and gu-niang-fied!

well, of course, i made the last one up. But my personal opinion is that the simulation has failed. it has failed very badly and i would say it has "mis-led" the kids who were playing the roles of a prisoner. in this case, the school would be like the country, the cadets the invaders, and the students the people of the country.

in modern Singapore, we now have the 5 defences that make up Total Defence. The 5 aspects are here to ensure that everyone, no matter how rich or poor, young or old, fit or sick, has a role to play in defending our country. We are said to have learnt our mistakes in the World War, we show the world that we are a strong, independant, prosperous city that can defend herself, but yet, in that simualtion, all we showed was how we submit to the invaders once again. All we showed was how we allowed ourselves to be pushed around like dirt by a superior force again. All we showed was how we dared not unite and drive the invaders out of our country again.

I had this thought in my mind for a very long time. In fact, all the while, since the incident happened. If this happened in Kranji Sec, and I was to be part of the student body assigned to be the "prisoners", i think the cadets are going to be in for a surprise. I once imagine this scenario,

Damn, this guys are here in MY place, shouting at ME and MY friends, making a racket. Damn, why should I allow it to happen? If my ancestors had allowed the darn Japanese to make slaves out of them, resulting in a terrible 3 years and 8 months of terrible time, I WILL NOT succumb to them again.

Of course, in any crazy fantasy, I would definitely be the hero. I wink wink to Jian Wei, Lunzi and all the guys, pass the message to tell every guy to aim one or two of the "invaders", go get a broom, a rock, or a rifle from the amoury and wait for a chance. Once the opportunity arrives, everyone will charge and whack the "invaders" with all our might and drive them our of the school.

Chay would grab a canteen bench and swing it around like Guan Gong and his Guan Dao.. Jian Wei will be like Sun Wu Kong with a broomstick, chasing his victims around the parade square.. Delon will be camoflaged in some dark corners (compliment his skin colour then), waiting for his unlucky prey.. Hui Jie will be lining up soccer balls and ramming them at the head of the cadets.. Den will be wrestling with some cadet and throw him into the pond.. Not to leave out the girls! Can imagine Peggen playing netball with her team, using the balls of the cadets.. Shiyin and Yirong can gather the choir and emit ultrasonic, supersonic soundwaves to scare them away..

Sounds like Fantastic Four, The Incredibles, Journey to the West, Shaolin Soccer combined.. hahaha...

Ahh.. The Mrs Bibiana Clark will go announce,

"Well done Kranji Sec! You have all done well to drive out the invaders! This has been a successful exercise and you have all proved yourself to be worthy Kranjians, worthy Singaporeans. All this would not have been possible without the great leadership and courage of our Head Prefect, Mak Jia Yuan!"

Hahaha, yes, I can see you smirking in front of your monitor. all these are just my imagination, my fantasy of what could have happen if it happened to me. Sure, some of you will be scolding, Hey, its just a mock up. Its just a simulation. Why get so worked up?

But hey, this is my answer to you, the idea of a simulation is to make it look real!

we put blood on the victims of the MRT drill to ensure that people won't faint when they see real blood. we play the national sirens once a year to ensure that people know what to do in an air strike and not waste time trying to think what does the siren stand for.

if want to act, might as well act more real abit. otherwise don't act at all..

hahaha.. thats the end of today's review and analysis. hahaha.. hope you all have enjoyed it! I would always welcome comments, be it compliments or critcisms, from anyone who would have any.. because feedback will only help to make me improve.. we should all try to be involve in discussions and stuff like that.. someone can start a topic or something to talk about, so that this place can be more lively, more fun, more intellectual.. of course, this includes the updates about your life, events and stuff like that..

hahaha.. i feel like doing another one on the Molest incidents that happened at the New Year Parties and Countdowns.. but after thinking it through, i only have three words to say to the victims of molest..

YOU DESERVE IT!
totally, absoutley and definitely..

this is not the first time such things happened here.. it occurred ever since the first of such parties in town.. and so, its just a case of "Ming zhi shan you hu, pain xiang hu shan xing." direct translation: Despite knowing there are tigers up the mountain, you still venture on up the mountain.

don't try to push the blame to the police officers not doing their jobs, don't try to blame the foreign workers.. and most idiotically, these ridiculous girls are calling for a ban on aerosol sprays!

i cannot believe it.. how clever and how matured are these people?!?! well, i guess if they go for these kind of stupid stints and parties, they can't be very clever or matured..

but don't get the wrong idea! going to watch the fireworks and all is all very fine.. nothing's wrong with that at all! but those who go dance on the road, wear nothing but 2 "5cm-by-5cm-masking-tapes-over-their-nipples" kind, those are the people i am despising..

i will NEVER NEVER NEVER allow my mother, my wife and my daughter to go to such things.. tsk tsk.. next time, they should name such Countdown parties after the famous car in Initial D..

No, not Toyota AE86.. but they should call it Teng Yuan Dou Fu Countdown Party!!! haha..

ain't it just a place selling toufu for guys to eat?

hahaha..

read The New Paper, 9 Jan and you will see how the Westerners mock our way of celebrating Xmas and New Year.. One of them commented, "Funny. 'Cause usually, we have family gatherings on Christmas."

Ouch!

So, we are not Westerners... and we are defnitely not Chinese, cause its not in the culture to see bubbles and foam outside the bathroom...

So what are we?

Or is this the Singapore identity we are trying to show the world? Something of our own?

Hmm.. food for thought eh? But for me, not so much to think about.. I am still the conservative, tradional, old fashioned guy who is very much a Chinese deep inside me.. and i still very much prefer to have my own foam party alone, in the comfort of my bathroom, singing nice songs instead of hearing those fustrating "technos or trance" crap..

in fact, i am going now..

i would like you to come along, but sorry, this is a entry-by-invitation-only event..

hahahaha..

regards,
mak

Yawn!

whoa.. what a Monday!

haha.. damn shiok ar! I slept at 9pm last night, and woke at 8am today! a total of 11 hours of undisturbed sleep! now feeling very refresh and all..

however, now i am home alone with my doggy... no breakfast yet, the floor outside haven't dry yet so can't bring my dog out yet...

hmmm... one whole day of rest.. yahoooo!

haha, to Chay, actually you are right.. ulcers come and go.. no point trying out kinds of weird weird methods to solve it.. but if it persists, or keep occuring.. better go see a doctor.. may be something wrong with your body..

thats all..

got to go..

oh, and before that, shiyin, go check you email.. thanks!

regards,
mak

08 January 2006

Wo Shi Wil, Ni Shi Jil, Neng Bu Neng Yi Qi Chill...

Hey.. good morning!

whoa, i don't know for what reason, there's this Wilber's Pan song that is stuck in my head since yesterday.. in fact, i think i have been dreaming of the entire song through the night ar.. woke up with a slight headache and felt like my brain didn't even rested like that... the strange thing is i don't know the title of the song.. anyone can help? hahaha... this is how it goes..

"Just tell me wei she me, yan shen you hua yao shuo, shi bu shi ni xiang yao ren shi wo, tou tou de kan kan ni, yao rang wo deng duo jiu, ai jiu ai, bu yao you man dong zhuo.."

hahaha.. okok, time to respond to old posts..

but before i do, i would just like to say, "Hey Shiyin, only 2 days after u blog and u want people to respond ar? haha.. that time when i was in australia, the blog can be untouched for 5, 6 days one leh.. hahaha... now you know how it feels eh? hahaha..."

ok, to the more emergency ones first.. Chay, i always gargle my mouth with salt water when i got ulcer.. its works for me.. i never heard of the wtermelon frost thing before though, so i don't know what it is.. for the salt water method, just make a concentrated salt water solution, then use it to rinse your mouth.. do not attempt to drink it, unless you hope to be a member of a large and rich organisation.. hahaha.. The "NEW" NKF.. hahaha...

ok, next up..

Some people may have a list of criteria of their perfect partner and wouldn't get attached before he/she can find someone who fits all criteria. That, to me, is not being realistic at all.

haha.. i know shiyin quoted Peggen on this phrase before.. i just wanna re-quote it again.. hahaha, coz similarly to shiyin, i thought this was directed at me when i first read it.. i thought it was meant to be an attack on Sheh Shi Man and how i wanted a girl like Sheh Shi Man..

well, i was not surprised to see that Shiyin thought it referred to her.. in fact, i would think that many other people in this group, even in this world, would be "guilty" of that "unrealistic-ism" that Peggen accuses of..

Notice i use inverted commas with the word guilty.. because i dun really think its a wrong thing to set a criteria for a life partner.. it is alright to only get attached when you realise that a guy / girl is the one for you, and the only way to knoe he / she is the one for you is to set a criteria.. just like you need examinations to assess that you understand what you studied...

now, i can almost see Shiyin grinning in front of her computer, saying to herself, Whoa, here it goes again.. Another hot "REBATE" coming le..

hahaha.. hey, please.. anyone or everyone, please join in this "REBATE" if you have a stand on this issue.. feel free to give your opinion on this ok?

perhaps the old me, 2 years ago, was the kind of guy that didn't believe in setting criteria.. i will be open about this lar huh.. hope no one will mind.. ok, see.. even jian wei has mentioned before that all my ex-girlfriends, or even those i tired to woo, vary very much in shape, size, character, personalities and a person as a whole...

there is the "short short, cute cute, quiet quiet, play clarinet" type, "long long, sexy sexy. loud loud, play netball" type, "short short, pretty pretty, elegant elegant, public speaking type", "average average, quiet quiet, mature mature, some band major" type to the "short short, cheerful cheerful, jie ying looking (yucks), councillor" type..

hahaha.. i dun know how to say it, but everytime jian wei teases me about it, i just feel that he madde it sound like a 10-course dinner at a wedding.. hahaha... but hey, i don't have 10 ex-girlfriends ar..

in the past, all i believed in was the BIG word, FEELING...

i thought that if this girl comes along, i feel something for her and she feels something for me, thats a start... then if i am happy being with her, and she is with me, thats even better... like what jonathan said too, what matters is that both people are happy with each other..

see, what i didn't realise is that, this whole "feeling" thing, this entire "being happy with each other" factor, is in fact, the END RESULT of ACHEIVING ALL of the criteria..

think about it, how else can u rate the always-talked-about "happiness between couple"? how do you judge that "oh yes, i am very happy now.."?

ah hah.. see, actually, all of us, every single one of us, already has a criteria set inside of us, and in a handphone analogy, our brain, heart, eyes are automatically scanning the network for potential signals to give us better connectivity..

only when the service provider meets all our requirement, like the price of the plan, the free SMS given, the reception etc.. then only we can be happy with the company..

so, my first point, who doesn't have a criteria?

the answer is, everyone does..

i quote, I certainly have met a number of people who fits certain criteria of my perfect partner but fall short of some. My point is that, it is not possible to find someone so perfect who can let you check all your boxes of your definition of perfect, without any shortcomings you can't stand.

what i think is that when you can be happy to accept that guy / girl as a steady partner, he / she has already met your criteria, regardless of how much you think he hasn't, regardless of how much shortcomings you think he has, he has already made it to the requirement deep in your heart.. i think, what you really feel and what you really say is always a different, or not totally the same.. just like i am not sure my words now can explain what i think exactly or not..

for example, i may always complain to my friends, "haiyah, my girlfriend very sticky ar.. everyday must report to her.. book out from NS but book in to another "Army" camp, report to another "Sergeant Major" ar..." my friends will all see this "stickiness" as a shortcoming of my girlfriend, something that i dislike about her.. but hey, if i can like her, love her, this may probably be one of the things i like about her.. i may propably enjoy her "stickiness".. it can also mean that this factor is not crucial to me, and is not set in my criteria.. "sticky" or "slippery" also never mind.. and it just happens that she is the "sticky" kind, but i can still accept her..

hahaha.. and in conclusion, this chapter has brought out a few other laws, comparable to Newton's Law, Murphy's Law and Boyle's Law..

Introducing, Mak's Law on Theory of Relationship..

1. everyone has a criteria set for their life partner.. that is only natural..

2. happiness is a result of acheiving that criteria

3. nobody will ever accept someone with a shortcoming to that criteria.. no one..
by accepting a big flaw (e.g. late-coming), you have only simply removed "punctuilty" from your criteria. Therefore, the 1st law and the 3rd law remains true..

ok, now shiyin's turn... hahahaha..

hmmmm.. actually, i hate to admit it, but yar you are right.. actually, now, i have no or very little confidence in getting a girlfriend.. haha.. one is due to the 'my last 2 consecutive pursuits that ended up in rejection and "got toyed around by a little girl" respectively..' hahaha.. the other reason is that my criteria is set and i can't find that girl yet.. quite simple criteria leh, but she hasn't appear yet.. i only want a Sheh Shi Man.. haha, not very difficult right? but Peggen is right, criteria changes with time.. see how ar.. now, its still sheh shi man.. another reason is that i dun wanna find a relationship that will result in a break up.. meaning, my next girlfriend will most probably be my wife.. hahaha.. so must choose properly.. i have 10years to go to reach the "stable, affordable" stage to get married.. 3650 days to find.. hahaha..

but dun worry, i wun hit on your sister .. hahaha.. your sister too smart liao, hahaha.. later everyday "REBATE" with her ar.. haha, "rebate" nevermind, but i sure will lose the "rebate" one.. and that will be damn sian... hahaha... Hey! but your cousin can consider.. yesterday u said she quite tall right? figure like peggen ar? but face not like right? haha.. like that can consider liao.. hahaha..

hahaha.. folkdance.. alwasy so emotional during folkdance night in Kranji.. my hands are firm ar? thats good right? haha.. imagine a guys hand without any strength or firmess.. EEEeeee... hahaha.. i could remember my dance partners too! hahaha.. i danced with Mui Hwee, Peggen, Muliyanni, Jamahliah and (EEeewww) Jie Ying before.. as in, not talking about the chane partners kind lar.. but like fixed partner dances, i got dance with these people before.. still remember, dun know Sec1 or 2 that time, when i was dancing with Jie Ying, then she suddenly cry and got depressed.. scare me till shitless.. then in the end, i found out she got hurt because i commented that the dance was stupid.. she thinks that i scolded her stupid.. and as usual, when girls are crying, their entire gang will declare war on the guy.. hahaha.. still remembered how yirong, cindi, mui hwee, irene teo, shiyin, siewyu and company all like outcast me for the next few hours.. hahaha..

but thankfully, with my amazing charisma, charming looks, i managed to woo them back and hey, we are still friends throughout kranji times.. hahaha...

although i din get a chance to explain myself to jie ying, but who cares.. hahaha, somehow im glad she got the wrong message.. hahaha.. stupid...

mr. andy kong is a damn nice PE teacher.. haha.. but u must really know how to behave in front of him.. he is a man of extreme discipline and rules his lesson by military standards.. which i felt was damn good.. haha, i could remember he scolding me for saying "yar"... he would go, "No, not yar, say yes." haha.. then i could still remember that in his class, he will keep a few of his pet students and give them privelleges.. think me, yen fang, peggen got power in his PE class in sec3 and 4.. whenever we make requests sure can get one.. but we also ensure we get his demands met.. hahaha.. damn nice.. i think mr andy kong is really a good teacher..

i think in kranji, the teachers i cannot stand is Mr Siah and Ms Serene Lai.. hahaha.. they should get married together ar.. both are darn sarcastic, not very understanding, and quite self-centered people.. tsk tsk... they spoil kranji ar.. hahaha..

ok.. done le..

hmm.. yar, peggen, who so daring call u a flirt ar? hahaha.. but this kind of things is like that one.. if you are not, then please dun be affected by what others say.. that goes for al of you... live your own life the way you want it.. do not be affected by people's comments...

ping ri bu zhuo kui xin shi, ye ban qiao men ye bu jing.. hahahah! opps, maybe use a bit wrongly.. haha.. haiyah, suppose to mean don't be affected by it lar.. hahaha...

i learnt a new proverb in australia.. teach you all ok? hahaha.. because it makes a lot of sense and now i try to make it one of my life principles.. its in chinese, and it only goes to show how beautiful our language is, our refined our culture is and all.. i am proud to be a chinese, a chinese singaporean..

wu yi shan xiao er bu xing, wu yi er xiao er wei zi.

direct translation: don't because the good deed is small and not do it, don't because the evil deed is small and thus do it..

can understand?

quite nice right? it made me think about how i lived my life in the past and all.. things that i overlooked, and the small evil pranks i thought was alright to play.. hahaha..

tell u all a secret ok? secret.. in the past, i used to hate this person soooooo much, that when he goes for recess, i would go to his table, and set up a bobby trap.. i would uncap his water bottle to the point when it will burst open once he touch the bottle.. hahahaha.. i did it many times, but saw it worked only 2, 3 times.. coz after that, he became smart and held the water bottle up with his finger on the cap.. hahaha... wu yi er xiao er wei zi... now must change..

hahaha..

now, a modified version.. i modified this in australia, giving it a singaporean touch to this beautiful proverb.. and this phrase goes out specially to my good friend, Den Lin.. hahaha.. Den, the ti ko peh.. hahahaha... just kidding lar...

wu yi na xiao er bu teh, wu yi na da er teh zi....
direct: dont because the bre**t small and not squeeze, dont because the bre**t big and thus teh.. hahahaha...

meaning, dun be choosy... hahahaha... milk is not every thing in this world.. it is only crucial to babies and may be old people.. hahaha.. alter your criteria, or else i will ask neo li lin to call you.. hahahaha..

regards,
mak

Hmmm...

Hmm... how come my greetings for u guys can get into a topic of 'a fling or a long-time partner'? Haha... Actually i've no right to tell chay tat too... but i just find tat 'mi lian' is not a gd thing. Maybe to me, love only exists when two persons really can sacrifice for each other. SO, if e person i like doesn't reciprocate, eventually i'll be awake & stop this 'mi lian'. To me, it's just not worth it & simply wasting my time thinking of e impossible.

On the other hand, my heart still tells me to do things that contradict my previous words. ARGH. Haha... whatever it is, yes chay, pls SMILE. I rlly changed my mindset since 1st Jan 12 midnight at esplanade. I smile almost every day & night. I just hope for a totally new fresh start... & maybe due to CNY coming soon, HOHOHO.

Quoted from peg's previous post:

Some people may have a list of criteria of their perfect partner and wouldn't get attached before he/she can find someone who fits all criteria. That, to me, is not being realistic at all.

ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ME?

Hahaha... when i read this, i was like wahhh yuan lai there's also pple like me ah. Haa. I think it's rlly nt good being lidat... it'll be rlly hard to find a partner then. I noe tat normally u dun end up with e mr/ms perfect in ur heart... but still some pple still prefer to WAIT in this way. Think it's time for me to stop such thinking.

BTW pple, i went ang mo kio kbox just now... supposingly sld be singing frm 4-7. BUT... we got free extension! We sang till 9+ & left OURSELVES! My frenz just got sick & were hungry... so sad. I'll definitely stay till e end even if i've no more strength & no dinner. I need to find such singing kakis like me. Haha. I'm not being cheapskate (*NOTE) Haha... but hey can sing till shiok leh... u dun wan meh? Alright wad i wanna say is let's shall go kbox e next time? But no guarantee there'll be free extension on wkends due to e bigger crowds. But if can, we shall go la...

As i flipped through my photos just now, suddenly i tout of those happy times in kranji. Well, some unhappy times too. It's been THREE years since we graduated from kranji... hv u ever tout of it? 3 years just fly past lidat... this gang had existed for 3 years too. Still remember those feelings when we crawled out of bed at 6am in e morning, then washed up, wore our kranji uniforms, carried our bag, and took bus/train to school? I can still remember these... so innocent times... and also those free time when we spent in our class chatting, reading, sleeping, eating, visiting toliets b4 assembly... hmm is it assembly? Is e session in e morning called assembly? Haha... i totally forgot abt tat.

And also, sometimes we get to see caning in e early morning too... now i can even imagine breathing in those fresh air when we sat at the... the... ground in front of e library la... listening to speeches or whatever e school always take so long to dismiss us.

I miss those folkdance lessons too... Come to think of it, i was in 1A, 2A, 3C and 4C in kranji... AND 1A, 2A and 3C were the champion classes during our times! I really feel so proud mann... keke. Sorry to those in 1B or 1C, 2B or 2C, 3A, 3B or 3D... i dun mean anything... just saying tat I'M SO PROUD OF IT. Muahahaaa. Still remember those dance steps when we have to change partners tat time? I remembered den was my permanent partner during sec 1 and 2. Haha... i think it's just nice cuz he's tall enough for me, so tat i wun have a hard time turning when his arms go up. Den's quite a gentle partner too... he dun swing girls like monkies & passed to e next guy de... haha.

If i'm not wrong, mak's hands are always firm... quite nice to have them as partners. I remembered SOME guys (dun worry, not any is in this gang) who ah... walau... swing us girls so hard & passed us to e next guy. Hahaha... just recalling back e feelings... though i dun rlly remember which guys did tat.

SO now, u pple got back those feelings? NO? Okay nvm...

I still remembered those PE times... when we ALWAYS must run & run & run... mr andy kong? U all sld rem him la right... e perfect but strict PE teacher.

Hmmm not forgetting e 1st 2 years in NPCC. Nightmares BUT fun & a sense of achievement.

Also, those choir times for me & rong... haha. Our SP performance, NATIONAL DAY too! I really miss tat! Still remembered we went back everyday to prac in sch, & then after tat to e stadium & rehearsed & finally e actual day! =)

Ohh ya, and tat d*** DUI LIAN teachers' day performance when my mike had NO sound. I used to hate our school's PA systems, and maybe some crews. LOUSY. Me, being one of e lead singers, standing in front, during e mid of performance, took mike frm weiyue who's like behind wenjun, & suying was btw me & wenjun. Imagine e distance... wahhh i dun wanna recall this thing anymore. I still get hot whenever i think back of this.

Hai... i was so childish back then. Haha... do u often think in this way? I always leh...

Hao le... enough of those kranji times. Shall update soon again~ TC guys! =)

Love, YIN...

food for thought

Heyo! Yeah, I have thought through Chay's post and hmm, I just have some stuff to say.

I do agree that at our age now, we should be looking for potential life partners and not just go into a relationship for the sake of going into one, for fun or whatsoever. I am someone who wants to marry young too. Remember I wanted 4 kids? In order to have 4 before I reach the "gao ling chan fu" age, I have to start early. But well, a dream is always just a dream. 4 may not be really realistic and feasible but that would be perfect for me.

But have you asked yourself, how do you know if he/she is the RIGHT PERSON, the perfect partner you are looking for? Sometimes we know straight away that he is not the right one. But sometimes, we will think that he seems like the right one before we started the relationship but somewhere along the relationship, one party may feel that somehow, he/she doesn't seem like the right one anymore. Things like that always happen, don't you think so?

And him/her being your perfect one does not mean not mean that you are his/her perfect one. So you die die want him/her just because he/she is perfect to you and you don't care about how he/she feel? Then I will call you a selfish freak. Because you only care about yourself. You only care about satisfying yourself and not him/her.

Some people may have a list of criteria of their perfect partner and wouldn't get attached before he/she can find someone who fits all criteria. That, to me, is not being realistic at all. So far, I haven't (read: haven't) found my dream guy yet. I mean, I certainly have met a number of people who fits certain criteria of my perfect partner but fall short of some. My point is that, it is not possible to find someone so perfect who can let you check all your boxes of your definition of perfect, without any shortcomings you can't stand.

Also, as you grow up, as you age, certain criteria will change. Some of the things which are not so important to you in the past may become important now and vice versa. Don't you all think so too?

I realise that I don't stay single for long. Since my first relationship in sec2, the longest break I had was a year plus from sec3-sec4. And I often wonder why. When I tell myself that I probably should give myself a break from all these, someone had to come into my life and tempt me to go into the vicous cycle again. Well, probably you can tell me that I could have thought through things more carefully and learn to reject people. And that brings me to my point above about many at times, we have to be in it to see if the person is the right one. But then again, I don't jump into any confession from anyone. I still do know how to reject people whom I know confirm not my type. If not, I'll be so busy you know? Hahhaa. Ok, thats just a joke.

Some people are just lucky to be able to find their perfect one very quickly. Some people assume he/she is the one until one or two years down the courtship (that, to me, is worse than realising it sooner). Some people just can't find their perfect one when the reach the "danger zone" age and have to be chinchai liao. Cannot pick and choose anymore. All these are fated and what they call it God's will. Whatever kind of person you may be, I still believe that everything that happens, happens for a reason. You may not be able to see the reason now, maybe not in the near future, maybe not even in your entire life. But I believe that, there IS a reason for everything to happen and there is always a bright side to look at.

And Chay, you made yourself sound like the woman and your other half being the man. Haha. Yes, we have to compromise and accomodate. But definitely not at the expense of one's happiness, be it his or hers. Don't you think so? Life is all about being happy. Smiles make the world go round. No matter what you do, no matter what happen, there is always a reason and something to be happy for.

So after reading this, please smile. For I can feel it.

SMILE.

-ithinkyouknowwhoiam-

Hmmm

Its me again.

3rd consecutive year that someone wish me to open my eyes wider and be more open to more options.

I am not just looking for a girlfriend but a possible life time partner. At our age, i think it is time for us to consider the possibility of getting a more steady relationship. If you those who want to find a girl and had the mentality from the begining that she wun be your wife, then that is abit morally wrong.( unless it is mutually agreed that it is a fling from the start). I just want to get married a little earlier so that when my child is young, i wun have generation gap with him ( even at my tender age of 19, i have generation gap with peers). By the time he grows up and need lesser attention from me, i have already reach my peak of my career and can concentrate more on work.

There will always be a perfect lover. Thats it, nothing more. Not a perfect partner.

We have to learn to live like the swiss, to accommodate and compromise.

If she dunno how to cook even a simple dish, it is ok cause i know how to cook, as long as she know how to appreciate and do simple washing up.

If she dunno how to clean up the house, it is ok cause i know how to, as long as she know how to do simple tidying.

If she dunno how to scrub her back, it is ok cause .............( imagine what i will put here)

I just hope that she is not afraid to clear the creepy crawlers that lingers around the house, cause i get freaked out by them.

If i happen to find someone i like, i will sacrifice alot for her. She may not worth ( or i may not be worthy) but it is the heart that tell me what to do and i will be willing to do it.

It is just like completing a jigsaw puzzle.( pasar malam around my area selling cheap jigsaw puzzle) It is not the whole picture of ones life, but it may be the most important portion of it. It is just incomplete without it.

My pic only want to create a festive mood for this blog, but i guess i was too late, yin was way ahead with that chinese new year song. By the way, that is a reindeer horn hairband for my family christmas party. Cute hor.

Before i go, anyone know who to cure mouth ulcer? I got a huge one on my tongue.

Chay

Alot of stuff

Here peepz, here I am. Peggen didn't go missing. I have been reading all your posts, just that I didn't really know how to respond to them.

First up, Mak, that someone brought to me other things despite throwing me into hell and stuff like that. I always believe in trials making me stronger. =) And also, not forgetting, without someone, I wouldn't have been with this gang. All thanks to him that I have this gang.

Yin, that is what you call a perfect guy which you know don't exist. If there is someone who has all their good points, he definitely have all their bad points as well. Which some clashes. Haha. The first thing I can probably think of is that HE WILL BE ALWAYS LATE. Hahaha. This is such a common thing in our gang. And I'm glad Rong made that resolution to be more punctual. I hope Jian is doing the same thing too. Please tell me he is. Haha. And an attempt to look for that perfect girl will only leave you on the shelf. Haha. Because you will be missing out many not-too-perfect and good guys.

Rong, I don't see whats wrong is spending the first day of the year like that. C'mon, that is call rest. How much rest time have you given yourself to reflect and think through stuff dring the past year. Yeah, if that is a wrong way to spend a day, then I have spent half my holidays wrongly. Hahah.

Mak, stop complaining about Yin's description. I agree(mostly) with what she wrote about you guys. And you know, I have a friend who thinks that knowledeable guys are very sexy. Yes, I swear she used the word SEXY. Haha. Like she said, that is just the most distinct triat she mentioned. So the rest of them can complain that they are just like she mentioned but without slightest knowledge about stuff? *kok ur head*

What else? I'm trying to respond to all your posts and I swear I am not refering to them as I type this entire thing. Shows that i read all of them attentively one ok? haha.

Yeah, I like what Yin said about me the previous post. Hehe. I'm always happy to see/hear people tell me that I'm a good gf. Hee. Rong's friendster testimonial for me is one of my favourite cos she say me until like very sweet like that. I'm not sure how true that is. I do break people's heart as well, so I'm not too sure. But taking that away, I admit that I'm a very sweet gf. Haha. Thanks girl. *muak* I'm not just a very sweet gf, I'm a very sweet friend as well k? =p And yeah, continue enjoying my posts. Haha. And about slacking less, *ahem*, look who's talking man?

Yah, I think Chay is expecting to create an uproar with his horny picture. BUT Yin came with a Xin Nian Kuai Le song and the focus changed. Yin, you stole his limelight lah. haha. People, don't ignore his horny picture k? Laugh at it, thats what he wants. Right Chay?

And yeah, aren't you all suprised I'm here at 9am? Haha. No no, I got no lessons today. I made myself wake up early (alot earlier than my usual 2pm) in an attempt to adjust my body clock to prepare for school. Its a good attempt today. haha. I can't believe that I actually got myself out of bed at 8 plus. Thats totally amazing k?

I haven't had breakfast since quite long ago. Hahaha. Maybe I should go have mine now!! So exciting. Breakfast. OMG! Its not Brunch, not Lunch you know. BREAKFAST. I can't believe it.

Ok , enough of crapping.

Enjoy whatever that is coming!

Hao la... stay shuai huh... and also, somehow i think tat ur confidence level has dropped a lit due to 'my last consecutive pursuits ended up in rejection and "got toyed around by a little girl" respectively..' (quoted from ur previous post) Well, u're still e shuai ge since i've known u in sec 1, so dun hv to doubt urself. But just tat nothing will always go smoothly, trials are needed to brace urself up even more. =)

This is true... as ur friend, i wish for all e best for u... hope tat u can get happy & xin fu. But first u must listen... dong ma? Listen & treat it seriously. I may be loud, crazy & childish sometimes... bt when i get serious & start talking to u, u must listen, cause it's all frm e bottom of my heart & all of wad i think. Not only me, other friends of urs too... hope tat u'll find ur loved one soon & be xin fu till ever... =)

Rong... hmm thinking back of how close we were back in sec sch days made me a lit xin suan of e fact tat we've drifted apart. I'll always be here for u if u ever realise... forget abt 2005 & look forward to ur coming GREAT 2006! Yes i believe tat ur 2006 will be a nice & beautiful one! Not only 2006, 2007, 2008 & gng on! Hope tat u can have a better financial year & study again... i noe u've been wanting to study... may u achieve it soon! Also, i always think tat u're a kind-hearted girl who gets bullied easily, must learn to defend for urself okay??? Don't take it for real of whatever others said... n be more confident in urself! Ni zi xing shi hou zhen de mei duo le... trust me. =)

Huijie... hmm stay as gentleman as always... haha. U've been labelled as this. Haa. And also, stay sha li sha qi too... it's quite cute sometimes... hahaha.

Yu... i've never forgotten those crazy times during sec 1 when we 2 gets crazy together, doing things crazily. U're a good listener as wad i always tout... i can see ur sincere face whenever i'm confiding in u. Thanks for all those times. =) I wish tat u can get healthier & head towards ur dream of becoming a great dancer! Do take gd care of ur own body alright? Also, u must learn to control ur emotions well... if not ur health will be affected. So smile more, cry lesser. =) =) =) =) =)

Jian... it's always fun with u ard... i miss ur jokes & all. Thanks for all ur concern sms-es... don't hv to worry cause i wun be tat emotional anymore... i'm strong afterall! =) Thanks for ur jokes rlly... tat ALWAYS cheers me up. =) Also, it's okay if u aren't tall enuf... cause to me, u're already one mr perfect. Muahahaa... oops~ I wish ya all da best in ur life, & may u n xue be more & more loving. =)

Des... hmmm u're seldom ard... it's also hard even if i wanna catch up with ya. But well, u're always e blur des i've known in sec 1. Stay it in tat way... cause i find it cute... haha. U seem innocent, but i dunno whether there's another side of u... whatever it is, keep ur innocent look & all da best in ur 2006!

Mui... e always gentle girl. Ohh girl... becoming noti already huh... now noe hw to suan pple le hor... but it's fun talking with u cause u've a good temper & one will feel comfortable sticking with u. Also, i find u an understanding & generous girl... sometimes just hv e urge to protect u just like how i take care of my sis... as i said b4, whenever i see u, u remind me of my sis... haha. Ur 2 patterns a lit alike... keke. I wish ya all da best in ur studies & may ur 2006 be a beautiful one! =)

I loved u guys in 2005! I'll love u all more in 2006! Haha... hmm just hope tat we'll never be separated. Stay happy all! Smiles! =)
