THE REAL PLAN

Remember on 9 June 2007, we had one of the most awesome attendance ever which includes all the partners. In exactly 365 days later, lets make this awesome attendance happen again!
[cos leap year, don't doubt my maths]

8 June 2008 (Sunday)
Sentosa, bikini, sun, sand, sea, volleyball, frisbee
10am till sundown
Followed by tze char dinner somewhere. :)

Multiple choice question for everyone:
1. I wanna show off my hot bod in Sentosa
2. I only want the calories, forget about the sun, sea and sand
3. I am up for showing my hot bod before putting on the calories
4. I can neither show off my hot bod nor join in the putting on of calories because ______________________________

Mak, got van or not? (I know petrol went up again! #$%^) Anyone else with class 3 can get wheels which can travel on expressway to share the load?

Enough time for everyone to plan your work schedule, push away your other dates, reserve car, shave your armpits and chest hair, tone up to go topless/wear bikini etc.

By the rate you guys keep postponing the outing, might as well wait for me right?! Hee.

Disclaimer: it has got nothing to do with me turning 22. Just so happen that its the first weekend of my liberation.

Beach Outing

Jonathan said he organising beach outing this weekend. I don't know whether on or not, because he haven't say anything yet ar...

Just in case he comes up with it last minute, I suggest keeping the weekends day time free if you can. Or better still, if we can take the initiative to tell him when we are available. Easier for him to plan that way...

Haha yeah mak, you're going crazy. Nevertheless, i think your idea sounds great. LOL. Free massage and porters are not enough. I think you should adjust the picture below and maybe put 4 figures sitting under the tree resting while the others do the work like setting up the tent or bbq-ing and stuffs. The four obviously would be mak, peg, yin and lun. LOL LOL LOL~~~

Btw pics are up! Very sad that we didn't take a group photo though. Next time alright!

Sorry that i'm appearing in almost all the pics because i can't find any without me in it. LOL.

Going Mad

The outing last night was good. Had fun and really enjoyed myself with the singings and especially the talk cock session cum supper after the singing... We should have more of such things when we can...

Thanks Yin for organising, and trying to accomodate to the various demands and requirements from the group.

Its really hard to organise something nowadays, with every so busy. Maybe, next time someone organises something sucessfully, we should give a certificate of appreciation or maybe, a Bachelor in Organising Gang's Recreation & Entertainment (OGRE). Rightfully named, because sometimes the organiser must really be such an orge, in order to get positive responses. If I got free time, I go design the certificate. Then, for everyone then participates in the activity, you get some "points". When you accumalate enough points, you can exchange the points for rewards - like free massages, free porter for your baggage/backpacks/handbags on outings etc...

Haha.. I am going mad.

16 May 2008

Hey guys~! Very sad that only me, Mui, Mak and Jian can make it for Sentosa tomorrow. So after a short discussion with Mak, we decided to postpone this Sentosa Outing to this coming Sunday~! Anyone?

Btw, the reason why i chose to call you guys with my office phone instead of sms-ing is because i had forgotten to bring my HP out. So, forget about sms-ing or calling my hp now until 7pm when i will reach home and check my phone. (Sorry rong, i didn't know you are still sleeping at the time of 10.50am.) LOL.

As for tomorrow, we'll only be going Chevrons i guess. And if anyone's reading this, pls kindly get someone to call and make a booking? (preferably 7pm-11pm or 8pm-12pm) I'm really confused about the person who always make the booking for us. Haha.

Anyway, MCQs seem simple and easier. Pls choose the option below.

1) Able to make it for Chevrons on sat night and Sentosa on sun.

2) Able to make it for Chevrons on sat night only.
2a) Will be late.
2b) Able to make it on time regardless of 7pm or 8pm.

3) Able to make it for Sentosa on sun only.

4) Unable to make it for either one of the events.

15 May 2008

Okay, based on the tagboard replies, i have one plan in mind. Shall see if you guys are keen on it.

Btw Delon, thanks for your offer. LOL. If the others are on, i should be fine on the 24th May too i guess.

Anyway my plan is:

Sentosa in the morning.
Chevrons at night.

We can meet around 10am at Harbour Front and stay in Sentosa till 3pm or 4pm. After that, we can go for a lunch+dinner and off to chevrons! Maybe we can start singing around 7pm or 8pm and end around 11pm or 12am.

1) Those who can't make it in the morning come join at night.

2) Those who can't make it at night can join in the morning.

3) Those who can make it the whole day will be good.

Pls reply on the tagboard whether your option is 1, 2 or 3.

Yin.

14 May 2008

Okay i believe the previous post is by Peg. Lol. We understand, no worries. I will try to organise more activites after your busy period. ^_^

Btw, i didn't expect those objections against night cycling at east coast. (And MJY, why didn't you highlight about the dengue fever thingy when i mentioned NIGHT CYCLING in my first post, and have to wait till my 2nd post when everything is confirmed, and there you came up with these. >_< Luckily i've learnt how to curb my temper lately and decided to forgive you.)

Anyway, seems like no one wants to stay out unsheltered? Alright, i've got 3 alternatives here.

1) Day Cycling cum Dinner Outing

We can meet around 3pm or 4pm and go east coast cycle or blade or whatever. And we can have dinner together after that.

2) Sentosa Outing

We can go Sentosa suntan or sunblock in the early morning, play volleyball, frisby and whatsoever. And have lunch together and if everyone's fine, we can go somewhere else like ktv, pool or bowling after that.

3) Night KTV

We can organise a Chevrons KTV on Sat night and sing from whatever time to whatever time.

Pls choose option 1, 2 or 3 and reply ASAP on the tagboard.

From the queen of randomness

Hello guys!!

Has been long since I dropped my 2 cents worth words on this space. A great shout out to Mak who successfully revamped this blog and made necessary changes. heh. Second shout out to Lun and everyone for the awesome attended Sakae supper buffet. A last shout out to Mak and Yin who has been consistently organising activities.

Due to my already-narrowed-down-to 2 presentations, 3 project reports and 4 exams in the following 3 weeks, I have to say no to such garang activities. I cannot afford to break a leg, be caught in the rain and end up with a high fever, or even severe muscle aches for the next 3 weeks. This is way too garang for a week 12 girl and of course I cannot afford the time, but you guys have fun okay! <3

Slurps! My curry flavour instant noodles are damn yummy. Time to go wash the bowl and head back to my incomprehensible accounting articles.

PS: Lun, bank consols shouldn't be that bad after you experienced such articles. Lucky for you, as far as I know, your curriculum doesn't have this module.

PPS: Rong, call me if you need to talk about your dilemma. :) I can provide my 10cents worth.

PPPS: Mak, I can't get Tan KK's image off my head now! I appreciate such random smses though. :)

Okay, really need to wash bowls now.

Salut! (been learning abit of French for exchange lah)

13 May 2008

Alright! The response seems overwhelming~!

Let's make it a CONFIRMED outing then! ^_^

I actually sms-ed Jian yesterday about learning of roller blading. But the reply never come back.

Anyway, i wanna go there earlier to blade. (I blade only once before so i wanna try to see if i can blade smoothly so perhaps i can blade throughout the whole night instead of cycling!)

So, who's interested and free to go there earlier? We can sit, chat and have dinner together. And those interested in blading may join me! Lol.

Since it's gonna be a NIGHT cycling, i suppose we won't be meeting very early.

So there'll be 2 batches on that day. (unless no one's interested to join the early batch)

First Batch:

Time: 6PM

Venue: Chua Chu Kang Control Station (Gombak-ians like me and HJ can meet at Gombak for you guys)

What to do: Reach East Coast around 7PM or 7PM plus. BLADE~~~ sit down, chit chat, stroll by the beach (if anyone's interested), have dinner together.

Later Batch:

Time: Any time before 10PM. We'll start our NIGHT cycling cum blading at around 10PM.

Venue: EAST COAST PARK

What to do: Cycle, Blade, Poker cards, Silly and stupid games. (Think of some games to last us through the night), Supper etc.

Lastly, pls confirm whether you'll be joining the early batch or coming later on our tagboard or sms me @ 9325____.

Confirmed Attendees:

1) Shiyin
2) Weilun
3) Jian
4) Den
5) Huijie [going to pang seh!]
6) Mak
7) Yu - Can't confirm
8) Rong - Can't confirm

9) Muihwee - No response

Unable to make it:

10) Peg
11) Delon
12) Chay

NIGHT CYCLING~!

Hey guys~!

Inspired by my sis who went night cycling tonight, let's arrange one next week during Vesak Day Holiday? Instead of the usual ktv, we should arrange an outdoor activity! Perhaps let's put it on 17th May, a sat? Anyone agreeable with it? Get back soon on this blog! We shall go with the majority.

We Are Listed

Inspired by Yirong's call to change her photo, and my out of sudden use of the words "we are all major shareholders of this blog", I have decided to give our sidebar a little theme using the financial world of terminologies.

DaGang 'sTalk Exchange ain't no typo mistake. The chatbox is where we usually do "msn" on the blog, and the twisting with the words fits it into the theme. Instead of the boring "members", it is now replaced with "Board of Directors", to re-irritate (I meant reiterate) to Yirong the point that everyone has a share to this blog and you can do what you want - ahem, and I quote from Big Brother, "so long you stand behind your words and speak or write responsibly."

The counter is our IPO from the 3rd May, and its a good sign that the number only can go up. Could be a day when we set up a company together for real - and I got it all thought out. We can develope Biological and Chemical technologies - medicine, weaponry, publications etc. Chay's expertise in plastic will help where plastic treatments are required. I can supply Chemistry knowledge. Shiyin can deal with the logistics (plan if we should take the air route or sea route to get those Chemical warheads to Taliban, or maybe even take camels to save cost.) Peg and Lun will deal with the Finance - raking in and keeping check of our cash from the various industries from Iraq to USA. Delon and HJ will help out in Biological knowledge. Den, Jon and Mui can pool their engineering knowledge and create miracle products for the company. Yu can be in charge of PR - getting dance performances for our clients, organising mahjongs and entertainment to boost our reputation. And Rong, you will continue to hold the position of "Honourary Advisor" in the board, and keep trying to inspire me to talk about rubbish like this paragraph.

Well... They say Pisces are dreamers, didn't they?

Mission Aborted

Alright... Looks like not many can make it already for this Sentosa outing. Well, if we go, I think we all want it to be a major and grand one with almost everyone there.

Let's have it another day bah, sometime when everyone can make it. But, I won't be available on the weekdays from now till 23rd May, and also certain weeks in June. Hope we can fun some other time.

2 Things

Hello there ladies and gentlemen....

THE NEW LOOK
This page is 90% done up done. Colour combinations are done to a bright cheerful theme for fun and adventure. The photos are ripped off from those that I own, taken from outings together. (Note: Its all nice, smiley pictures... Yes, even healthy, as Rong promotes a healthy diet and rally the readers to fight against junk food.) If you are intending to put a photo that you like better, crop it to 89 x 148 pixels, 97 x 96 dpi for the resolution. Or, you can email the picture with the title "PLEASE change my photo" and I can do it for you. The header and footer are hand-drawn by yours truly, or rather, mouse-drawn. The "About Us" section was crapped out by me too, and any editing (so long it ain't abusive) is welcomed.

The remaining 10% will require everyone with our "Quan Jia Fu" to send a copy to me. I don't seem to have any of our "Full Force" photos, and I believe Yin and Peg has the most of them. Help to look through your computers for our group photos and these are the requirements:

1. Must contain at least 8 / 12 of the group, because I know its tough to get a 12 / 12.
2. In colour - no B&W please.
3. Avoid an Edison Chen episode, though I highly don't expect it.

THIS WEEKEND
Weather seems pretty good these days for the sand and sea. How about having one this Saturday at Sentosa? I should be able to get the van out and if Peg is okay, we can organise the transport - just like how we did for the Ubin trip last year. I can get my hands on a volleyball and Den can definitely work out a deck of poker cards. Organised games (think Orientation style) can be a first for our group outing - water bombs, three legged race, captain's ball... Groupings will be randomised by drawing lots... Food and drinks will be potluck style pinic - everyone, except maybe the drivers, bring abit of something to fill the tummy and hydrate the tired bodies. Or we can have a F&B department to organise something.

Conclusion? A good work out, a good tan, lots of laughter and a good night sleep.

Sounds perfect to me.

Think about it, then drop a reply here or SMS me. Your other half will be welcomed. Once we work out the attendance, we can activate the "F&B Dept" to collect funds and pen down the shopping list. Drivers in the "Land Transport Authority" can sort out who and where to pick up. So, who's for it?

New Look!

Ah ha!!!

New look for this place... I think our site has been having the same old face for quite some time... Since it was surrected, I think...

Now, M.Jay, with some free time at hand and some need to release his artistic ventings, will volunteer to re-vamp this place... I very nice.. I explored the functions and tools using my own blog first, then I come touch the gang's blog... Had I been slightly more evil, I would have done it the other way round...

Don't dismay just yet.. This place is still under construction... I am thinking of getting a little bit of group photos up here - not those big and close-up ones like we have on the sides... Group photos at the header and the footer, from various events and activities, made into a collage... It will be big enough to know whats going on, but small enough to not steal the limelight.. Idea?

I will also play around with the templates and the colour combination for another week or so... Any opinions, please voice out too.. So that everyone can have a part of this new look... or we can rotate the job, every year one person design.. since, its really quite easy to do it...

Looking forward to tomorrow's outing... See ya then!

M.Jay
